Exhibitors: Doreth Jones

Doreth Jones started creating jewellery in 2004; a piece she designed and was wearing caught the attention of the editor of Pride magazine, whom then featured it in the 2004 edition.  Doreth has not looked back; she continued designing one off pieces while undertaking adult education classes at CEL; City Lit and Holts Jewellery School.

Based in London Doreth continues to push the boundaries with experiments in both non-precious materials; wood, bone and precious metal sterling silver; gold; rubies and diamonds.  Doreth enjoys making jewellery that is different while still employing traditional jewellery making techniques.

Her inspiration comes from many forms the first being her parents; “my mother was extremely stylish and creative she knitted and crocheted.  Both my parents have an excellent eye for detail.  I am also amazed by the Micro Sculptor Willard Wigan, when I see his amazing work it inspires me that anything is possible”.

Bake with Faith

In Jacqueline Faith’s own words ‘If you really crave something, you may just have to bake it happen! Sounds cheesy, dressed with extra cheese…but it has remained true in regards to all aspects of my life’.

Twenty year old Jacqueline Faith is a second year Anthropology student at Goldsmiths University who enjoys writing screenplays and poetry, but has an unbridled passion and enthusiasm for baking.

Baking is something Faith has found therapeutic and gratifying and recalls on how she stumbled into the realms of baking as she was really peckish for a cookie but the cupboard was bare.  She spent hours, whinging to her mother telling her why she believed something sweet should always reside in the cupboard.

Subsequently Jacqueline searched the Internet for all things sugary, rich in flavours and high in calories! She continues to research and compile recipes of scrumptious and delicious desserts and snacks. She uses the best organic ingredients and develops her methods, which has contributed to the creation of her delightful desserts under the name of Bake with Faith.

In 2009, she made a wonderful selection of cakes for the Ose Couture fashion show in Shoreditch which people from the press, fashion and pr industry enjoyed and wanted to buy more desserts from her for their own private soirees. Jacqueline delivers a high quality service and also bakes desserts for private clients for their events.

Supporters: Painted Wolf Wines

THE PAINTED WOLF WINE COMPANY is a new South African wine company which over the coming years will develop a fantastic premium wine brand – PAINTED WOLF.

Painted Wolf was formed in mid 2007 by Jeremy and Emma Borg. Jeremy, who has had experience working with wine companies and brands in USA, UK and here in South Africa has a keen understanding of both wine production and the market. He set out to develop a company and wine brand which has a fresh different approach.

Our goal was to bring together our own Painted Wolf pack. We sought out a group of individuals who would be able to bring the best available technical and practical skills to Painted Wolf, as well as providing funding to get the business going. By harnessing the energy and expertise of a number of talented individuals we plan to create a company which will not only make delicious wines, but which will be socially and environmentally responsible, nimble, effective and most importantly fun and rewarding to work for and to be associated with.

The basic ethos of Painted Wolf is team work, persistence and a driving ambition to be remarkable in everything we do. Our mantra is “remarkably persistent, persistently remarkable”
